What the work is about

Our work highlights stories from the LGBTQ+ and BIPOC communities, with an emphasis on mental health and identity. The films lean into genre — dark comedy, thriller, horror — because genre lets those subjects land harder than a lecture ever could. These stories are the center of the slate, not a sidebar to it.

Olivia Wong was born in Hong Kong and grew up in Sacramento, California, after being adopted into a Chinese-American family. At fourteen she knew she would be a filmmaker — primarily a writer-director.

After the USC School of Cinematic Arts MFA program, she wrote, directed, and produced several of her own short films and music videos. As a queer woman of color, Olivia strives to enact positive social change in the world, and that is the primary reason she became a filmmaker.

Olivia has also been a professional photographer for the last decade, currently signed with Getty Images as an Editorial Photographer in Entertainment.
